Sport is an integral part of every child’s life at Peregrines. The character and self-discipline acquired on the games field will stay with the pupils throughout their lives. Sport will assist in accepting victory modestly as well as defeat generously.

Children at Peregrines participate in numerous different sports including rounders, netball, swimming, hockey, tennis and gymnastics. All pupils are involved in a swimming, gym and games lesson each week. Extra-curricular sporting activities such as Judo and Yoga are also offered which provides an essential part of Peregrines curriculum.

Physical education at peregrines is not only a vital subject within the national curriculum, but also integral in the development of a healthy and happy life. Developing the understanding, enthusiasm, skills and positive attitudes of Peregrines pupils towards PE gives them a greater chance of continuing this into adult life. If pupils can be encouraged to take part in physical activity in a fun and enjoyable environment, then this will excite them to continue to be active throughout their school years and beyond.

We are lucky to have a superb outside space in our playground, and an onsite netball court. Other sporting activities take place at Barn Elms Sports Ground and Putney Lawn Tennis club, as well as sports day at Bank of England playing fields.
