At Peregrines Pre-Prep we believe that ‘Learning for Life’ or as it is known Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE) in the National Curriculum is an important and necessary part of the curriculum for all the pupils’ in our care here at Peregrines. We believe there are many pieces that go together in regards to preparing, developing and helping the children in our school to grow into caring, active and thoughtful citizens of the local community and the global village they are part of.
Throughout the Learning for Life curriculum at Peregrines, pupils will begin to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to keep themselves healthy and safe and prepare for life and work in modern Britain.
Through teaching our diverse, engaging and informative units of work, and allowing our children to have a voice we empower the children to better understand, appreciate and value the world around them.
We feel that our PSHEE curriculum equips pupils with a sound understanding of risk and with the knowledge and skills necessary to make safe and informed decisions. Our programme of study for PSHEE aims to develop skills and attributes such as resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, team work and critical thinking.
